Manfred Heyn is Senior Associate at FERRERE in Asunción, Paraguay, and specializes in complex corporate and financial transactions.
He regularly advises on foreign investment, mergers and acquisitions, project financing, joint ventures, taxes, commercial and distribution agreements, bilateral and syndicated loans, and securities issues on local and foreign securities markets.
Manfred has advised financial institutions such as Citibank, Bank of America, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Itaú BBA, BBVA Securities, Santander, BNP Paribas, FMO, CAF Latin American Development Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank, among others.
From 2019 to 2021 he was international attorney at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, where he was involved in high profile cross-border corporate and financial transactions in Latin America, including debt issues and restructurings, representing sovereigns, quasi-sovereigns and private entities.
Before joining FERRERE, Manfred held various public service positions, both in the Judiciary and the Executive branches. From 2012 to 2013 he was Cabinet Director to the Vice Minister for Youth, where he provided advice on legal issues and drafted and analyzed bills of law.
